The previous owners tried breaking out a large part of a bearing wall, between the intended kitchen and living room. They used wooden 4x4s to keep up the beams that keep up a half the rooms upstairs. They also left a small part of the original wall standing. In the winter of 2019, I started replacing the wood with concrete pillars. Using a shovel and wheelbarrow I made 1 or 2 layers per evening keeping me warm and occupied :)

And again, considered finished end of September 2021, I asked Natascha; "Good? Yes?" and moved on to the next project without taking a picture of the end result :D
